Rotherham United are playing a waiting game over goalkeeper, Andy Warrington.

Ever-present Warrington has gone down with a sickness and diarrhoea bug and, taking no chances, Manager, Ronnie Moore sent him home from training.

‘We hope Andy will be OK and hasn’t got the same bug as Drewe Broughton had,’ Moore told David Beddows of The Advertiser. ‘If he has, then there is no way he will play tomorrow.

‘He’s the last player we want out of the side although, he can’t be that bad because he wants to train.

‘The biggest concern is that this virus isn’t passed on which is why he’s been better out of the way.’

If Warrington can’t make it then it will mean a first chance this season for Reserve ‘keeper, Jamie Annerson.

Striker, Drewe Broughton, who was also laid low with the virus, is available, should Moore want him, for the game against Crewe tomorrow.
