Rotherham United have signed striker Tom Hitchcock on loan from Queens Park Rangers.

The twenty-one year old isn’t unused to going out on loan as he has already had loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Saturday`s opponents Crewe Alexandra.

Tom spent his Youth career with Blackburn Rovers where his father, Kevin Hitchcock, was goalkeeping coach and while with Rovers had a loan spell with Plymouth Argyle.

In March 2012 Tom signed a years contract with QPR making his only senior appearance at the start of the following season in August coming off the subs bench.
