Number One is ?

Adam Collin

Well, OK, actually his squad number was ’21’ but he’s been the Millers ‘No. 1’ for most of the season!

Adam started his professional career with Newcastle United and he had loan spells with Oldham and Doncaster. Adam moved to Workington in 2004 and went on to play over two hundred games for the Reds. In December 2008 he began having a few training sessions a week with Carlisle United finally signing for them two months later and played lots of games before being released in May 2013. A few days later he joined the Millers originally as ‘number two’ behind Scott Shearer but made the number one shirt his own from October.

Adam has been in goal forty-two times this season keeping fifteen clean sheets but all that pales into insignificance when you think of the two penalties he saved at Wembley in the shoot-out that helped the Millers get promotion to the Championship.

Adam was voted Vital Rotherham Man of the Match three times last season – against Leyton Orient (October) and Oldham (March) in the League and in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy against Hartlepool in November.
