Rotherham United defender, Nicky Hunt limped out of the loss over Hearts on Saturday five minutes before half-time with what could be a hamstring problem.
Speaking to MillersPlayer Millers Manager, Steve Evans said, ‘We don’t know if it’s a hamstring pull or a strain or maybe just cramp.
‘He was making a positive contribution and was very disappointed to have to come off. Then we had to start chopping and changing it but we will have to see how he goes.’
What I’ve seen of Hunt already I’ve been impressed with him. He seems very steady at the back and doesn’t seem to get flustered and can keep the ball moving. I hope, if it is a hamstring, that he won’t be played again until he’s properly better from it because, I believe, he will be one of the major players in the Millers side this season.
Dale Tonge, who has a Achilles problem, has had a further scan this week with Evans saying it’s really difficult for any player when they’ve missed the full pre-season like this and he will have to get right before he can get on and maybe even go out on loan to get him some football.
