Rotherham United have named the players they have released today but have also confirmed that they are in talks with five players.

The club are in negotiations with Kirk Broadfoot, Matt Derbyshire, Richard Wood, Stephen Kelly and Leon Best.

Defender Kirk joined the Millers in the summer of 2014 and has played sixty games.

Matt Derbyshire joined around the same time and has made seventy-four appearances scoring eighteen goals which includes eight in the season just gone.

Richard Wood had a torrid start to his career with Rotherham. After joining in June 2014 he had a few injury problems then was sent out on loan to Crawley, before finding himself out on loan again this season at Fleetwood then Chesterfield. Neil Warnock brought him back and he played thirteen games for the Millers towards the end of the season.

Defender Stephen Kelly joined the Millers in November and played fifteen times.

Striker Leon Best was brought in from the wilderness in November but was red carded in his first ever game then got a couple of niggly injuries. But he has made sixteen appearances and scored a handful of goals.
