Rotherham United will have to make an early decision whether or not their game on Saturday at Don Valley will go ahead.

With the county in the midst of temperatures that would put a deep freeze to shame the club have said that they will need to undertake a big snow clearing job to give them a chance of putting the game, against Aldershot, on.

Aldershot are due to travel down on Friday, which is the reason a decision will have to be made sooner rather than later and with the weather forecast saying we will be basking in around six degrees, it is hoped the game can go ahead.

The Millers are e hoping to avoid the scenario of last year when they were without games from mid-December to 19th January and having had two blank Saturdays already they will be doing all they can so the game can go ahead. This may involve removing the snow, which has been helping to protect the playing surface, and then covering it with special insulating covers.
