Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans has said that he is on the look out for possibly three or maybe four more new players to complete the jigsaw and add to the five he`s already fetched in.

We know that he failed in his bid to bring Port Vale striker, Marc Richards, to the New York Stadium and has also had bids turned down for his former player at Crawley, Matt Tubbs.

But we are also hearing, on the grapevine (one which should yield some very good wine as it is a very busy grapevine) that the club have also put in a bid for Bristol Rovers winger Mustapha Carayol.

The bid was reported to be six figures with interest for the former Lincoln City player also said to be coming from Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.

Not knowing how much the actual figure is that we are alleged to have bid or how much Pirates are asking, but I think he is a player who would definitely benefit the Millers. I can see a picture in my mind of him at Don Valley flying down the wing leaving two or three red shirted players in his wake.

Maybe, just maybe, this is a player that we should pull out all the stops to get? Surely we Mustapha go at getting him to Rotherham?
