Rotherham United haven`t got many decisions from officials this season – and it`s not sour grapes, I`m just telling it as it is – and today was no exception.

‘It was the worst refereeing decision I’ve ever seen,` Millers Manager Steve Evans told Radio Sheffield.

Matt Derbyshire got the ball and was bearing down on goal when he tangled with Birmingham`s Rob Kieman and ended up sprawled in the penalty area. Immediately the thousand plus Millers fans went up expecting to see referee Dean Whitestone point to the spot – but those supporters were disappointed (again).

‘You might as well have a twelve year old with blue blood in his veins refereeing,` the Millers Boss carried on. ‘It`s a nailed on penalty and if you don`t give them you might as well give up.

‘The Fourth Official had been talking to us all afternoon but when we asked about the penalty he turned away – probably embarrassed.

‘Of course, it doesn`t mean we`d score from it. But I will be asking the referee and I`ll go in with the DVD and let the people above him do what they have to do.

‘I`ll be marking him accordingly.`

Wouldn’t expect much of a score Mr Whitestone!
