Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that his team deserved the points after coming back from one down to win three-two against Fleetwood Town this afternoon.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the win at the New York Stadium, Warney said, ‘I thought we played really well today and deserved the win.

‘To go a goal down must have put doubts in peoples minds but I’ve got a great group here who believe in what we are trying to teach them.

‘We asked the lads to move the ball quickly, because of the way they play we didn’t think we could get through them. It’s hugely disappointing that they got a goal off a set-piece.

‘I thought we created a lot more chances and apart from a couple of set-pieces they didn’t cause us loads of problems but they do have an attacking threat. I thought we were excellent box-to-box and controlled the play really well and the subs came on and had a good effect.

‘I thought Newelly (Joe Newell) was unplayable today. I like little touches of class and he’s certainly got that and I’m proud to be his manager. I thought Woody (Richard Wood) at the back was brilliant today and Richie Towell as well, he’s a leader.

‘It was good to get the home win and we have two home games to go and if we can win both of those then I think we will be pretty close to being in the play-offs.’
