Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne says that although the break last weekend didn’t come at an ideal time he doesn’t actually mind the odd break in the season.

The Millers game at Gillingham last weekend, like many others, fell foul of the wintry weather, although that is the only game the Millers have had called off due to bad weather. Two other games were postponed because of the opposition being involved in Cup games.

Speaking to iFOLLOW the Millers Boss said, ‘I’m more than happy to let the staff and players have a couple of days with their families and in fairness they probably use more effort sledging than they do playing.

‘With the conditions I didn’t want to take risks with the players driving in so giving them a couple of days off over the weekend was fine. They had a good break and came in fresh for the weeks training.’
