Rotherham United Manager, Ronnie Moore is not only frustrated with the fact that the team hasn’t played for almost a month because of the weather but it is also stopping him from getting out and checking on potential new signings.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Moore says, ‘ Our chief scout has recommended players to us but it’s been difficult to get out and look at them.’

Moore has been keeping an eye on Wolves’ players George Friend and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

‘Sometimes you can sign players blind, especially younger ones, but I’ve only seen Mendez-Laing once and need to see him again.’

It is also thought that the Millers Manager was keen on fetching in Marcus Marshall from Blackburn Rovers but the striker has now joined Aberdeen.

‘We’ll keep making enquiries,’ Moore said, ‘and something might happen next week.’
