Rotherham United Manager Neil Warnock told Radio Sheffield that he was thankful for the International break.

After playing a lot of games over the last few weeks the Millers were suffering with injuries to key players and the Millers Boss said, ‘If I’m honest I was glad of the International break.

‘Not only because of the injuries but because we had people like Richard Wood, Kirk Broadfoot and Lee Frecklington who were all needing a bit of a rest so it’s been great to be able to do that.

‘It’s been important that the players have had a break with their families and relaxed for a little bit given the pressurised situation we are in.

‘With eight games to go we’ve not achieved anything at the moment. We’ve got to push on now and try and get as many points as we can while hoping that’s enough.

‘You know you don’t keep winning games in the Championship but we’ve managed to put a good run together but we still only just heads above water. But that just shows what we’ve had to do as a club and a group of lads to get where we are.

‘It’s a matter of not taking the foot off the pedal now and pushing on.’
