Rotherham United have asked permission to speak to Crawley Manager, Steve Evans about the vacant job with the Millers.

Speaking to the Crawley and Horley Observer, Evans, forty-nine, said, ‘it`s not the first club which has sought permission to speak to me, the owners have always been very good and shared that with me. We need to get Easter out of the way and see where it goes but for now I want to focus on our game on Monday and my mind can’t be anywhere else this week.’

Evans confirmed that the Millers had asked permission to speak to him after his Crawley side had drawn one-all with Crewe today.

So far, there has been no word about this from Rotherham United.
