Rotherham United returned to training today at Roundwood watched by Manager Steve Evans and his assistant Paul Raynor.

Speaking to the Official Site, Paul said, ‘It was nice to get all the new lads in and integrate them into the squad and we`ve come back a little earlier than some to purposely do that.. We`ve gently eased them back into it and done some good work though not too strenuous.

‘At the moment we are gauging fitness and then we can increase or decrease things accordingly. They have come back in good physical shape which was good to see and we`ve been pleased with the first day.

‘We`ve got nine new players at the moment and it`s important to get a good team spirit and camaraderie and that will only come by being together.`
