Rotherham United’s Football in the Community Manager, Mark Todd, is leaving Millmoor in January.

Toddy is going to take up a similar job for neighbours Sheffield United.

Speaking to The Star he said, ‘I think it it the right time for a change.

‘I am very very proud of the programme I will be leaving behind. I have been in charge for ten years but I know Dale Spiby, who is taking over, will continue to improve and develop further.

‘I’d like to thank everyone who has helped to establish the Football In The Community scheme as one of the best in the region.’

Midfielder Mark joined the Millers in the 1991/92 season and helped them to promotion from Division Four but injuries meant that his appearances after that were limited. He finally hung up his boots, prematurely, in 1995.

Rotherham Vital wish you all the best for the future, Toddy.
