Rotherham United have issued a ‘hands off’ warning to clubs who are sniffing around top scorer Kieran Agard.

The twenty-four year old scored four goals in two games over the Easter weekend, taking his total to twenty-five for the season, and is starting to make other teams sit up and take notice of him.

‘Kieran is going nowhere,’ Millers Manager Steve Evans said told David Beddows of The Rotherham Advertiser. ‘His contract is up in the summer but we have an option to take it further so we’ll be sitting down to talk about it.’

Saying there was interest for the former Arsenal and Everton Youth player in the summer and again in January, Evans carried on, ‘We’re not a club who sets ourselves up to welcome interest but if there is interest I have a duty of care to the club. The Chairman will ask if I want to sell and if I don’t then the matter goes no further.

‘I am not intending to lose anyone during the summer whether we are in League One or the Championship.’
