Rotherham United defenderStephen Kelly told The Rotherham Advertiser that he believes the away form is the key to the Millers push for survival.

‘Something has to click with the away form,’ Kelly said, ‘if we can stop the losses then hopefully there will be a bit of a turn-around.

‘There’s just under a third of the season left so, at this point, nothing is decided. Most of the lads were here this time last year and they know what we did and that we were comfortable for the last three or four games.

‘Performances like Tuesday night, as disappointing as it ended, are something to build on. But we need to get a couple of wins on the road just to make things look a little bit better. We pulled ourselves out of it around this time last year, we just need to start a run sooner rather than later.

‘Neil (Warnock) will have his team organised and up for it. They will turn us and be physical but we’ll be well drilled and after Tuesday it’s a chance to go away from hoe and show we have a bit more fight and energy.’

The thing with last season is that although we were down in the bottom of the table, we weren’t anywhere near as many points adrift as we are this season. But, of course, I hope Stephen is right and we can get ourselves out of it – again.
