Rotherham United goalkeeper, Jamie Annerson says that next season the home form has to be better.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, the twenty-two year old said, ‘We conceded a lot of sloppy goals in the games that we were winning last year and we need to start cutting those mistakes out and need to turn draws into wins.`

Jamie appeared in thirteen games for the Millers last season in both league and cup and conceded twenty-one goals, though five of those was in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy against superior opposition.

Carrying on the former Sheffield United trainee said, ‘In the periods of games where we are on top and dominating we need to start taking the chances that we create and make them count. That would give the team something to hold on to while making the defenders and goalkeeper`s jobs much easier.`

Talking about the seven new players that Manager, Andy Scott, has fetched in, Jamie said, ‘I think we have strengthened the areas of the squad that we needed to improve. Hopefully we will add more goals to our game with the signings we have made and that will take the pressure of Alf (Adam Le Fondre).`

What do you think? Have we strengthened in the right areas? Come and tell us here on Vital Rotherham
