Rotherham United’s win over Lincoln on Saturday started with an equalising goal from defender Marc Joseph.

Joseph’s goal came from a well worked free kick from Ian Ross which, Joseph told MillersWorld had been worked on in pre-season training.

‘We’d not really had the personnel to try it before now but luckily, on Saturday, it all came to plan and we scored a good goal,’ the thirty-one year old said.

Joseph was also involved in an incident which saw The Imps Mark Stallard red carded. ‘He kicked me and we were fortunate that the referee saw it. If you are going to do something as silly as that then you will get sent off.’

With the club announcing that they might go into administration Joseph said that the spirit amongst the players was still high. ‘The off the field situation is something we can’t afford to think about and the lads have just got on with the football. We are in fifth place and still have a lot to play for and we are feeling positive and will push all the way to the end of the season.

‘The team spirit has always been good here and we just get on with keeping the mood up.’
