Rotherham United defender, Marc Joseph`s contract with the Millers is up at the end of the season but he`s vowed to fight for a new one.

Speaking to Dom Howson of The Star, the thirty-three year old said, ‘I am desperate to earn a new contract and stay at this club. It`s important for me to get back involved in the first team squad again. But, you don`t really want people to get injured or to lose some form to get a chance but I am just waiting for an opening and I hope it comes sooner rather than later.`

Joseph, who has been out with a thigh injury, played the full ninety minutes of the Reserves win over Huddersfield yesterday afternoon at Don Valley.
