Rotherham United striker Jonson Clarke-Harris has left the New York Stadium to join Coventry City, where he began his career, initially on a loan until the end of the season but with a view to a permanent move.

Jono joined the Millers in September 2014 for what was then reported to be a club record from Oldham Athletic, scoring his first goal in October in our two-one win over Leeds United at the New York Stadium. In January 2015 the striker had a loan spell with MK Dons followed by another loan spell with Doncaster Rovers.

2015/16 saw Jono score six times in thirty-seven appearances but a pre-season injury, resulting in an operation, had him out until April the next season when he played seven times.

This season the twenty-three year old has made nineteen appearances scoring just once which was in the Checkatrade Trophy win away at Bradford.

All at Vital Rotherham wish Jono well in his future

  • I’ve said the same myself, MV with the added bit of ‘but if Warney can’t I doubt anyone can’. Hope he does well and finds his right niche
