into the valley of death rode the six hundred

Well, Millers fans will hardly be riding into the valley of death today and I’m sure there will be more than six hundred of us ‘ride’ into Don Valley where the Millers will be making history by playing their first home game away from Millmoor for more than one hundred years.

cannons to the right of them, cannons to the left of them, cannons in front of them

I think the only ‘cannons’ we will be seeing today is from the boots of our players as we put the ball past the Derby County ‘keeper in today’s friendly

right thro’ the line they broke, Cossack and Russian reel’d from the sabre stroke

Not sure how many ‘Cossacks and Russians’ the Rams have though I know they do have a Welsh ‘keeper and defenders from far flung places like Scotland, England, Guinea and Jamaica and here’s hoping our forwards can break through their lines to get the ball in the back of the net.

they that had fought so well came thro’ the jaws of death

Here’s hoping our team fight today and make the first ever game for the Millers at Don Valley a special one.

Kick off is 3pm – see you there.
