Rotherham United’s Caretaker Manager Paul Warne says that the team has missed Lee Frecklington and Kirk Broadfoot

Speaking to Radio Sheffiled Warney said, ‘Lee Frecklington has trained really well this week and will play a part on Saturday, touch wood.

‘He’s put loads of miles in. We’ve probably been not over-cautious with him but he’s been a bit riddled with injuries this year so we’ve held him back a little bit so he’s biting at the bit to play.

‘He’s an important player for us and we’ve missed him and Broady.

‘Broady played forty-five minutes in the Reserves at York. I went up to watch him and he did well but he doesn’t feel like he’s one hundred per cent, but it’s like week one of pre-season for him. But he will catch up quickly and I’d like to think we’ll be using him prior to Christmas. We’ll be training from now until Saturday morning to get as much into him as I can and push him as far as I can without pushing him too far. I’ve utmost respect for Broady and, without a shadow of doubt, the teams been missing a leader in the back four. He’s a good organiser and when I played I wouldn’t have wanted to play against him. He’s a bad loser and he never stops moaning and I think he’s the unhappiest man in football!

‘At the start of the week I didn’t think Lee Camp had much of a chance but he’s trained a bit on the grass and I’ve spoken to him today (Thursday) and he seems confident. He will be in full training on Friday so it’s a decision I have to make. He hasn’t trained a great deal and I don’t dislike Pricey (Lewis Price) .

Joe Allen has had fluid on his knee and he’s on loan to us from Celtic so he’s been up there to have the fluid drained and they are looking after his re-hab for a couple of weeks. He should be joining us later next week.

Kelvin Wilson has had a calf injury. He’s just started running on grass. If he steps up well he should be available for selection or to play a Reserve game in the next couple of weeks.’
