Rotherham United could be without Greg Halford and Lloyd Doyley for Saturday`s away game with fellow strugglers MK Dons.

Greg received lengthy treatment for a neck and shoulder injury during Tuesday nights game at Ashton Gate but was deemed fit enough to carry on.

But the Millers Assistant Manager Kevin Blackwell told Radio Sheffield that it`s like a whiplash injury.

‘Anyone who has had whiplash will know how painful it is,` Blackwell told Andy Giddings today. ‘He`d cleared the ball and we were coming out and one of their players ran into the back of him and his head flipped back. Once the doctor had come on he thought it was a head injury so we had to go through the whole procedure for that which is why it took so long.

‘At the moment he`s getting treatment and we`ll see how he goes.`

Lloyd Doyley didn`t make the match day squad on Tuesday night with Blackwell saying, ‘He had a scan on his knee and we`re still waiting for the report so we don`t know anything at this moment in time.

‘We`ve got a couple of other niggles but at this stage of the season when it goes game, game, game you know you`re going to pick these niggles up and we just need to get them in the recuperation room and get them fit as soon as we can.

‘It`s strength of mind that matters now.`
