Rotherham United make their first trip to the Cherry Red Records Stadium (or Kingsmeadow as it is better known) on Good Friday to take on AFC Wimbledon which will be just the second meeting between the sides.

The first meeting was at Don Valley in December when a Sam Wood goal twelve minutes from time was the only thing that separated the two sides.

This is the Wombles first season in the League after finishing as runners-up in the Conference National last season and beating Luton Town in a penalty shoot-out in the promotion play-off final.

Formed in June 2002, after the Football League saw fit to let Wimbledon F.C. to relocate 56 miles north to the new town of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, and change their name to MK Dons, AFC Wimbledon held player trials on Wimbledon Common from which the clubs` squad was picked.

They began life in the Combined Counties League they were promoted at the end of the 2003/4 season to the Isthamian League First Division before moving up the season after to the Premier Division. The club moved up to the Conference South in 2007/8 and the following season found themselves promoted to the Conference National before joining the Football League this season which made if five promotions in nine years.
