A few facts and figures about previous games between the Millers and the Shrimps
Rotherham United entertain Morecambe this evening at the New York Stadium which will be the eleventh league meeting between the two sides.
The last time the Shrimps played the Millers on Rotherham soil was also the first league game the two had played each other in, although they had met in the FA Cup before. In the game at Millmoor in October 2007 Jim Bentley put the visitors in the lead straight after half-time. On seventy minutes former Miller Dave Artell pulled back Marcus Bean in the penalty area and Stephen Brogan calmly slotted the spot-kick away to make it one-all. Ten minutes later Jamie Yates, on for Chris O’Grady, put the Millers in front and three minutes before full-time the youngster struck again to give the Millers a three-one win.

Last season, at the Millers adopted home of Don Valley, the game saw five goals and a sending off. Lewis Grabban put the Millers in front on twenty-one minutes but Jordan Burrows equalised eighteen minutes later. Jason Taylor put the Millers back in front three minutes into the second half only for Ryan Cresswell to give away a penalty which Jack Redshaw equalised from on seventy-five minutes. Cress also saw a red card for the challenge. With it looking like the game would end with a point each in the final minute of the game Grabban got his second and the Millers third of the game which made it three-two.
