The last meeting on 7th August 1999 was the opening day of our promotion season from Division 3.
Goalless until the 61st minute, the crowd of 4,494 then saw Lincoln hit the Millers with a double blow and 2 goals in 2 minutes from Terry Fleming and Lee Philpott effectively wrapped up the points for the Red Imps.
Millers substitute Paul Warne replied with a last minute consolation but the game was already lost.

Rotherham’s last League victory at Sincil Bank came on Boxing Day 1997.
The Millers had gone 7 away League games without defeat coming into this match, and despite Lincoln sitting comfortably in 3rd place in Division 3, a late Jason White goal with just 8 minutes to go carried on the good run and saw Rotherham climb up to 5th place in front of 6,350 fans.
Rotherham won the 2 previous League meetings at Sincil Bank also with both coming in promotion winning seasons.
In 1991-92 following an opening day victory over Division 4 eventual champions Burnley at Millmoor, the Millers faced Lincoln in the first away fixture of the season and came out worthy 2-0 victors.
2nd half goals from Tony Cunningham and Ronnie Robinson gave Rotherham all 3 points in front of 4,134 fans and moved into 3rd place in the League.
March 1989 saw the Millers boss Billy McEwan take the Manager of the Month award following 6 wins and a draw from the 7 games.
On the 11th of March a very important 3 points were picked up at Sincil Bank after a 1-0 win courtesy of an own goal from Imps midfielder David Clarke.
5,186 fans saw this game which lifted the Millers into 2nd place on our way to the 4th Division title.
