A few facts and figures of previous games between the Millers and the Trawlermen

Rotherham United’s opening fixture of the new season in League One sees them travel to the Highbury Stadium where they take on Fleetwood Town.

The only time the pair have met in the league at Fleetwood in the past was in November 2012 in League Two. Kari Arnason opened the scoring for the visitors on nineteen minutes but two minutes later Jon Parkin got the equaliser for the Trawlermen.

The last time the pair met on Fleetwood soil was in the Johnson’s Paint Trophy in December 2013. Fleetwood won the game two-one. Jeff Hughes scored for the hosts with an equaliser coming in the second half from Nouha Dicko but a Conor McLaughlin goal twenty minutes from the end sent Fleetwood through to the next round.
