A few facts and figures about past game against the Millers and Rovers

Rotherham United entertain neighbours Doncaster Rovers for their first evening game at the New York Stadium tonight.

The Millers and Rovers have met eighty-four times in the past in League and Cup games with the Millers winning the majority of those.

The last time the teams met on Rotherham soil was in September 2006 in League One at Millmoor. The game ended nil-nil.

The last time the Millers beat Donny at Millmoor was on New Years Eve 2005 when a dramatic last minute winner from Lee Williamson gave the home side a long awaited win. Rotherham were down to the bare bones of players with a young Will Hoskins making his first team debut. With not many chances the game took a bit of a dramatic turn when the visitors had Paul Heffernan sent off for a second yellow card and after that it was all the Millers and, after having three corners in succession, Martin Butler had a shot parried by Rovers` ‘keeper Budtz with the ball falling to Williamson who smashed it into the roof of the net from close range to give the Millers a first home win since they beat Accrington in the LDV Cup in October.
