A few facts and figures of previous games between the Millers and the Addicks
Rotherham United travel to The Valley this Easter Monday to take on Charlton Athletic which will be the thirty-sixth league meeting between the pair.
Last time at The Valley was September 2015 in the Championship when Farrend Rawson put the Millers one up on thirty-eight minutes but a sixty-fifth minute goal from Patrick Bauer gave Charlton a draw.
The game before in January 2015 was also a one-all draw with both goals coming in the final ten minutes. Jordan Cousins scored for the hosts on the eighty-third minute with a goal a minute into time added on from Danny Ward saw Rotherham coming home with a point.
The last time the Millers won at The Valley was in November 1982 when a hat-trick from Ronnie Moore and a goal a-piece for Joe McBride and Tony Towner gave the visitors a five-one victory. That season of 1982/3 saw Rotherham relegated in twentieth place with Charlton ending up three points and three places above them.
The last time Rotherham lost away to Charlton was in November 1980 when the Addicks were two-nil winners. At the end of the season the Millers topped the Third Division while Charlton also gained promotion in third place – Barnsley was the side sandwiched between the two.
Good Friday 1958 saw the first game between the Millers and Charlton in the capital when it was a four-nil win for the hosts.
The game at the New York Stadium earlier in the season was a two-nil victory for the visitors. Patrick Bauer scored the first on the sixteenth minute and fifty minutes later Josh Magennis doubled the score.
