A quick look at previous cup games between the Millers and the Bantams
Rotherham United make the short trip to West Yorkshire to take on Bradford City in the Checkatrade Trophy, which is the first time the pair have met in the competition.
The Millers have already made this trip this season in the League when the only goal of the game was on twenty-one minutes from Romain Vincelot giving the home side all three points. In time added on at the end of the game a second yellow for the Millers left-back Joe Mattock saw him take an early bath.
The pair last met in a cup competition in November 2013 at the New York Stadium. The FA Cup game saw Kieran Agard score twice with Alex Revell scoring in between those giving the hosts a three-nil win.
2001 saw the pair meet at Millmoor in the League Cup. Rob Scott saw red on just three minutes with Robbie Blake scoring from the resulting penalty for the visitors. Andy Tod added to the goals just before the half-hour mark and Blake made it three-nil four minutes later. On seventy-six minutes Jamie Lawrence made it four for the Bantams.
The 1980/81 season saw the pair meet in the League Cup with the score at Millmoor being a 3-1 win for the visitors and a goalless draw at Valley Parade saw City go through on aggregate.
Another game at Millmoor was in 1976 when Bradford City beat the Millers three-nil in an FA Cup game.
The pair first met in the FA Cup in December 1927 at Valley Parade which saw the Millers come away with a three-two win.
