Rotherham United loanee defender, Jon Harley says he has plenty left in the tank as a professional footballer.

Harley, who has joined the Millers for a month from Notts County, is here to get games and told The Advertiser that the game against Shrewsbury was the first Saturday game he`d played for six months.

‘It`s important for me to get games,` the thirty-two year old said. ‘Fitness wise it`s good for me and it`s important to be out there playing football.

‘It`s impossible for me to work out what will happen in the future but I`ll take the month, see what happens and just take it from there.`

The former Chelsea, Fulham and Sheffield United defender has started all three games since joining the Millers and carried on, ‘Speaking to the manager, he`s got me and Guy Branston in for a bit more experience at the back. Hopefully we can build some bridges and start locking down and keeping some clean sheets.`

Got to say, I can’t fault him since he’s been here and he does look very fit.
