It might be a little wet outside and you might need your brollies this afternoon but the game at the New York Stadium is definitely ON.

Player Facilities Manager Dave Fellowes told MillersPlayer a few minutes ago that he has no concerns about the pitch.

‘The drainage system here is second to none and I`m sure the pitch will play very well.

‘The pitch is constructed so it will take forty to fifty mil of rain an hour which will drain through it.

‘I`m happy. Game on.`

We`ve had heavy rain in South Yorkshire this morning with more to follow about lunch time but then the forecast is for it to lighten a little.

So anyone thinking of having an afternoon out shopping then get yourselves down to the New York Stadium and cheer on the Millers – although, can I say that I usually walk down Don Street to the ground and maybe it might be wise to go through the main entrance this afternoon.
