Rotherham United Manager Neil Warnock tipped Hull City to win the league this year and going up as champions. Unfortunately for the Tigers that didn’t happen and they already know they will be playing Derby County in the play-offs.

Speaking to MillersPlayer the Millers Boss said, ‘They’ve got the best squad in this league so tomorrow is going to be a task for us.

‘One or two of our players will be under pressure because the quality of the players they’ve got is unbelievable.

‘I’m looking forward to it. It’ll be a good crowd, we’ve nothing to lose, nothing at stake which is great because when I first came and looked at the fixtures I was thinking ‘I hope we don’t have to go to Hull and try and get a result to stay up.’ It was good to put that to bed with two games to go.’

Saying that he thinks the squad has lost ‘the edge’ since they found themselves safe in the Championship for another season, the Gaffer said, ‘There’s nothing wrong with the effort. We could have scored goals last week but the preparation wasn’t the best and we got punished early doors with some sloppy defending.

‘But on Saturday we are away from home with no distractions. And we want to put up a good performance against Hull although they’ve got a big incentive wanting to have the second leg of the play-offs at home.

‘We’re going to be under a lot of pressure but I look at Ipswich away, Sheffield Wednesday away, Wolves away. We were under a lot of pressure in most of those games but we seem to excel when we are under that sort of pressure. Really, we can roll our sleeves up and give it our best shot.

‘We haven’t got the type of player to lay down and if we go out there a bit casual they will batter us. We’ve got to be ready for the onslaught we’re expecting.

‘For us it would have been nice to finish four or five places higher but that’s not possible now.’
