Rotherham United Manager Neil Warnock says that the Millers were poor for a twenty minute spell of the game this afternoon.

‘I felt comfortable early doors,’ the Millers Manager told Radio Sheffield after the five-one away defeat at Hull.

‘Then we lost our shape and when you’ve got five or six lads doing that you haven’t got a cat-in-hells chance when you’re playing against a team like Hull with the ability they’ve got. It’s a great squad they’ve got and I think they’ve got a good chance.

‘We needed everyone to be spot on and in that run we had everyone was spot on. But today the centre-halves and full-backs were still in the dressing room for most of the first half, the midfield lads didn’t do their jobs either. But I thought the forwards looked a threat all the time.

‘I gave the players a rollicking at half-time. I told them to play for their pride. Whether we’ve nothing at stake is irrelevant to me. It was already four against a good side and if we’d let them play in their own way in the second half they’d have got double figures.

‘I thought we stood up in the second half and were counted although it was too late by then but better than just letting them run up a cricket score.

‘I’ve got a lot of praise for the players but disappointed to finish on a low like that. We’ve done well as a team but today we lost because we weren’t a team.

‘Yes I was disappointed at half-time but after the game I thanked them all for what we’d achieved since I’ve been here and told them to have a good summer and get ready to fight for the cause.’
