Rotherham United have just had an International break with both Kari Arnason and Danny Lafferty appearing for their respective countries.

Speaking about what the rest of the Millers have been doing during the break Millers Manager Steve Evans told Rob Staton of Radio Sheffield that they’d been busy.

‘We had a training ground game which gave those who needed some topping up,’ the Millers Boss said, ‘and we had an opportunity to look at some of the Youth team players where decisions have to be made. We could also rest some of the first team players who carry little niggles and knocks that only days off the training ground could cure.

‘Kari Arnason has been all around the world and is due back and Danny Lafferty has only been to Northern Ireland and was back in training on Tuesday.

‘The first few days after the Wednesday defeat were particularly tough. I went off for my pro-licence that evening and it was a long drive North of the Border on the back of that. But you have to learn from it, come back and break it down and realise what went wrong.

‘I had an hour and a half chat with my Chairman who reminded me of the future I have here even if we end up in League One which was great. And I had a phone call and messages from Brendan Rogers which was invigorating.’
