Rotherham United skipper Lee Frecklington told David Beddows of The Rotherham Advertiser that he things Paul Warne would been a good Manager next season.

‘I think Paul Warne has got everything you need to be a good manager and, most of all, he’s got the lads’ backing.

‘If you have the dressing room believing in you you have every chance and every one of us in there would want him to be Manager. I’ve been in dressing rooms where the lads don’t want to give everything for the Manager but here even the subs want to play for him. That says a lot about him as a person.

‘If you put this team in League One with his positivity and him in charge then we could have another successful year.’

With the Millers looking relegation in the face Frecks said, ‘It’s probably the most difficult time since I’ve been here. We’ve had two promotions and we’ve stayed up twice so this year has obviously been the most difficult. But, if you were behind the scenes in the dressing room, it doesn’t feel like a relegation doom-and-gloom atmosphere. Everyone is still positive, still trying to win games and still putting the same effort in that they were at the start.

‘We’ve got a good, honest group and although it’s looking ominous we want to win games for the fans to have something to cheer about.’
