Rotherham United’s club skipper Lee Frecklington was presented with the Rotherham United Community Player of the Year Award at the awards ceremony at the New York Stadium on Saturday night.

With a bit of an injury ravaged season Frecks has made twenty-eight appearances – and we are sure some of those have been when he’s pushed himself on – but has been busy off the field too in and around the community.

Frecks joined the Millers initially on loan from Peterborough in October 2012 but signed a permanent deal three months later helping Rotherham up through the leagues to the Championship.

Head of Community Jamie Noble told the Official Site, ‘Lee is always the first to give his time up for the people of Rotherham, and is as loved off the pitch as he is on it. He is a credit to the club and a credit to the town.’

Congratulations Frecks!
