Rotherham United lost skipper Lee Frecklington this afternoon with less than five minutes of the game gone.

The Millers midfielder went down with nobody around him and after treatment on the pitch appeared to limp off to be replaced with Will Vaulks.

After the one-nil win away at Rochdale iFOLLOW asked Rotherham Manager Paul Warne what had happened.

‘We don’t know if it’s his back or his hamstring yet,’ Warney said.

‘I’m hoping it’s his back that has caused pain in his hamstring because if he’s pulled his hamstring he’ll be out for a lengthy time.

‘We’ll know more on Monday.’

Joe Newell was missing from today’s squad with Warney explaining, ‘After training yesterday he was complaining a bit of a tight quad and although he said today that he would be alright he could still feel it. But it’s no point me taking a risk with him and I wasn’t going to play him today only for him to last ten minutes and be out six weeks.

‘So I didn’t take the risk and he’ll be fine for next week.’
