Rotherham United skipper Lee Frecklington says the players are trying hard to cut out the errors that have seen sloppy goals given away in the last few weeks.

Speaking to the Official Site about the disappointment of taking the lead but ending up on the losing side last Saturday at Bristol Rovers, Frecks said, ‘We put ourselves in a great position, going one-nil up but we managed to let them back in the game. We need to work on that because we ought hard in tough conditions.

‘It wasn’t a day for playing football and I thought when we went one up that would be enough.

‘It is something we will work on.’

It must be just as frustrating for the players to take the lead and then lose it to silly mistakes as it is to the fans. But last week wasn’t the first time it had happened and let’s hope they have been working on it in training. I think whichever ‘keeper we have in has to come out and say ‘this is my area and I’m in charge of it’.
