Today we hear the sad news that former Rotherham United defender Ken Waterhouse has died.

Born in Ormiskirk Ken began his career with Preston North End joining Rotherham in 1962, originally as a centre-forward but mostly played at inside right.

Ken played both legs of the first ever League Cup Final against Aston Villa and went on to make over one hundred and forty appearances with the Millers.

After leaving Rotherham in 1963 he joined Bristol City finishing his career with Darlington.

All at Vital Rotherham send our condolences to Ken’s family and friends at this sad time.
