Rotherham United Manager Neil Warnock told David Beddows of The Advertiser that having the run the Millers have had hasn`t done him, as Manager, any harm.

‘I`m enjoying the underdog tag and the stadium and I like the fans.

‘I`ve not written off being here next season and I`ve not written off going elsewhere. Where I`m here or not you`ve got to plan and the Chairman has been receptive to what I`ve been talking about because he wants to improve everything.

‘I get on really well with the Chairman and whenever I have been successful I have worked for a Chairman I have enjoyed working for.`

Going on to talk about the Millers staying up, the Gaffer said, ‘I thought it would go right to the last game so it would be fantastic to go to Hull with everything sorted.

‘You know when I took this on one or two people said I could end up with egg on my face. But I didn`t see it like that. I thought it was my biggest challenge. Everybody in football might have thought it was pretty much impossible but I thought I`d give it a go. And I`m glad I did.’

There`s been all sorts of rumours going around the last few days some saying he`s already signed a contract for next year, some saying he`s staying on a month-to-month basis, others saying he`s been offered jobs elsewhere.

I think all Millers want to see Neil Warnock lead the team out for the first game of next season – and the last game too.
