Former Rotherham United legend and Manager Ronnie Moore has been charged with multiple breaches of rule E8(b) for misconduct by the Football Association.

Rule E8(b) says ‘any participant in football ‘shall not bet, either directly or indirectly, or instruct, permit, cause or enable any person to bet on the result, progress or conduct of a match or competition in which the participant is participating, or has participated in that season; or in which the participant has any influence, either direct or indirect.”

Moore, who played over one hundred and twenty games for the Millers between 1980 and 1983 and managed them twice, was suspended by Tranmere Rovers in February while the FA probed allegations that he’d been betting in a competition in which Tranmere were involved.

The Liverpool born former striker has until 8th April to respond to the charge.
