Rotherham United make the long journey down to Torquay on Saturday and former Miller, Darren Garner thinks that it will be a ‘stern test` for his old team.

Speaking to Josey Webb of The Star, the thirty-nine year old former midfielder said, ‘It`s a tight, compact ground and the fans are right on top of you which creates an intimidating atmosphere. There`s no doubt about it, it will be a tough game.`

Darren Garner played over two hundred and fifty games for the Millers between 1995 and 2005 before moving ‘back home` to Devon and Torquay where he played more than fifty games.

Another former Miller, Guy Branston, will be in the Torquay squad on Saturday which Garner says will ‘add a bit of spice to the game. Rotherham will definitely want to watch out for him because he will want to get one over on Ronnie Moore.`

Speaking about his ex-Manager, Moore, Garner said, ‘I think he`s in a difficult position and, in a way, fighting a losing battle. The fans obviously have a certain degree of expectation, after what he achieved last time, want him to cruise to promotion. If results don’t go his way then the supporters may ask ‘why have they brought him back?’ so it is difficult.

‘But, I do think they can do it, especially if they manage to keep hold of Adam Le Fondre.`
