Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans knows what a win today at the Proact Stadium against Chesterfield will mean to the Millers fans.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, the Millers boss said, ‘Across the summer I`ve been to fans` meetings, quizzes, dinners, out to clubs and pubs and the fans have all emphasised to me what this game means to them and that it was the first fixture they looked for. And, our players are aware what it means to the local people but I`m under no illusions. Chesterfield are a good side with good players and a good manager.’

One of those players is Jack Lester who scored a hat-trick last time against the Millers and got his team a draw with Rochdale mid-week. Speaking about the thirty-six year old, Evans said, ‘He’s a fantastic goalscorer and if he was twenty-eight again he`d be going for millions now.

‘We have players here who have played in derby games and I’ll be reminding them what it’s all about but when they go out they will see what it means when they see the away end packed.’
