Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans is going to give the backroom staff, most who he has inherited from former manager, Andy Scott, more responsibilities.

Speaking after the three-one loss to Shrewsbury on Saturday, Evans told the Football League’s Official Site that he had inherited some good staff.

‘We are going to take the shackles off them and let them have an input,’ Evans said and singling out goalkeeping coach, Andy Dibble, Evans carried on, ‘He is going to have a say on the goalkeepers we sign and will be accountable for their performances because I am accountable from the top.’

Meanwhile, Evans told the players after the Shrewsbury game, ‘I saw enough in the game to encourage me together with what we want to add, and will add, to the squad. I told them afterwards that they got top marks for effort, passion and commitment, no one can say we didn`t have that.’
