Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said it was a stunning performance from his team to get a point at home against Norwich City.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the one-all draw the Millers Boss said, ‘Norwich came here and started on the front foot for ten minutes which forced us into a system change.

‘Then we started to get ourselves in the game and our supporters must go away very frustrated with the chances we had. I counted five very simple chances but that happens.

‘Norwich scored an absolutely stunning goal from Gary Hooper. We gave the ball away in the build-up to the goal and then they get a little ricochet but he`s got a special talent.

‘We needed a reaction and my message to the players was never stop. We knew what was happening at Derby and we knew what was happening at Wigan and I think, on and off the pitch, we gave it everything we had. And credit to every one of my players.

‘And we gave it a rally at the end and are disappointed we haven`t won the game. In the ninety-fourth minute we are throwing six and seven men forward trying to get a goal but that goal led a charmed life and I think you have to give credit to a good defensive display from Norwich especially in that last twenty minutes.

‘We`re delighted for Jordan Bowery for his goal because he`s been electric in training this week. Now we have to take our battle and our mission forward to Tuesday.`

Asked about the red card for former Rotherham striker Lewis Grabban, the Gaffer said, ‘I didn’t really see it but my players on the bench said he kicked out.

‘I`d like to finish by wishing Alex Neil and his Norwich side good luck in the play-offs and say well done to Watford for getting promotion to the Premier League.`
