Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that some of the lads who played in both Good Friday and Easter Monday’s games have been given a bit of a rest.

‘They were back in today after a couple of days off,’ the Millers Boss told Jonathan Buchan of Radio Sheffield yesterday. ‘It wasn’t really a reward because we worked all the days leading up to the match putting a lot of hours in and the lads who’d done the two games would be tired so it’s important to get them back in looking fresh.

‘Some of the others were in Wednesday working with the staff and myself and it’s been a pleasant week to work with the guys. Training’s been good and it’s been a positive place to be and it’s given the opportunity for people to impress.

‘The minimum we have to have is players who are fresh, hungry and have a desire to play football.

‘We freshened things up for the match against Brighton after Birmingham and we may consider doing that again.’
