Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans says that he listens to the advice from all his staff.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Evans, who has been in charge of the Millers for four games, said, ‘I work with my staff, will ask for their opinions and listen to their advice. I`ve got a goalkeeping coach who is an expert on all things goalkeeping and a physio who advises me about matters medical and I listen to them because they know their subject.`

Saying that he is ‘democratic` not ‘autocratic` Evans carried on, ‘The staff will have their input into various matters, and are encouraged to do so, although, of course, after assimilating everything, it will be my call.`

Speaking about the future of his players Evans says he will use the Brian Clough criteria of a ‘yes` or ‘no` basis. ‘We`ve our own strict criteria as well when it comes to players for instance, ‘can they play in a promotion side?` We will make our minds up on what we`ve seen and worked with.`

Meanwhile the Millers Manager, and his assistant Paul Raynor, has moved into Rotherham so, he says, he can be right on top of the job. ‘It is important to be here,` Evans said. ‘I shall live and breathe this football club and want people at it who will do the same.`
