Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans says that he is one hundred per cent sure that tomorrow’s visitors, Heart of Midlothian, will be the only team who will challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.

The game, that is a 2pm kick-off, will be the third pre-season friendly played at the New York Stadium, with the Millers winning the other two by two goals to one.

But, according to the Millers boss, Hearts are a different proposition and he is also certain that their players, officials and fans will be impressed with the Millers’ new home.

Speaking to the Edinburgh Evening News Evans said that Hearts is a big club and it was actually the Scottish club who enquired about playing the Millers.

‘Hearts are obviously aware what’s going on down here,’ Steve said, ‘and they will be walking into a  £25million new stadium. It really is nothing short of ‘wow`.  If the match is played in the spirit that John McGlynn and myself want, then it will be an entertaining day.

‘If Rotherham are doing well, our average attendances next season will be about 9000-10,000. That will tell the Hearts supporters back home what size of a club Rotherham is. It`s an opposition they`ve never seen before so our supporters will see it as another game they want us to perform well in. As the manager, I`m honoured that we are facing a club of Hearts` stature.’
